Though it’s not really cold here in winter, ‘tis a chilling season again when you won’t get soaked by sweat (too fast) walking around.

And that makes pop-up markets bloom across the town.

Unlike London, where there are regular markets here and there basically just everyday, Bangkok’s full of seasonal pop-ups (though some might recur).

Here are some of the highlights.

Area Five: Bangkok Art and Market Fair 2015

They promise 550 shops across the space at Airport Rail Link Makkasan with six zones including art, food, music, design and craft.

Expect: Young generation of Thai art and design brands, food and music

When: December 4-6, 11-13. 3pm-midnight.

Where: Airport Rail Link Makkasan, Phetburi Rd.

Entry is 100 Baht.

The Great Outdoor Market

This one of the most successful market launched just last year is back at the same cool space by the river, with the chilling atmosphere.

Expect: Cute pop-up cafes, stylish products, handmade crafts and live bands

When: December 10-13.

Where: Bangkok Docklands, Charoenkrung Rd.

Winter Market Fest 3 by Sansiri

Bangkok’s version of Christmas market with cheerful and festive vibes. The market spans over San Samran bridge, a scenic landmark in some of Sansiri’s newest properties.

Expect: Serious food, family-friendly vibe and crafts

When: Dec 12-13, 4-10pm

Bangkok Boxing Day

One of the biggest Boxing Day sales at an indoor space in the heart of Bangkok.

Expect: Gifts, fashion and design items

The Recurring Markets

Bangkok Artisan

As the name suggests, this market is a showcase for Thai contemporary artists.

Expect: Art exhibition and sale from local artists as well as painting and pottery workshops

When: Every weekend from Nov 20-Dec 20, 3-10pm.

Where: Thanya Park, Sri Nakarin Rd.

Artbox Exhibition Market

A vibrant popular market popular among young crowd.

Expect: Variety of food, design shops and thick crowd

When: Every Thu-Sun from Dec 4-25, 5pm-late.

Where: The Em District, Sukhumvit Rd.

K Village Farmers’ Market

A market where producers come to meet and actually talk with you.

Expect: Food products and some cooked food

When: Every second weekend of the month from 10-6pm
